Ann House, MOT, OTR/L

Ann C. House, MOT, OTR/L, is an experienced occupational therapist and consultant with more than 20 years experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of children diagnosed with autism and SPD. She is the founder of a private occupational therapy practice which provides comprehensive therapy programs for families, children and infants.

Ms. House is a national consultant on sensory integration and sensory processing issues holding certifications from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), as a Blankenship FCE evaluator, as an Interactive Metronome Trainer, and is certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) developed by Dr. A. Jean Ayers. Ms. House is an experienced seminar leader having presented to therapists, school based professionals and parents nationally on the topics of Sensory Processing and Sensory Modulation Disorders.

She received her Master’s from the University of Puget Sound, a BS from West Virginia University and her research has been published in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy. Ann is a member of the professional advisory panel and adjunct instructor for Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Occupational Therapy Assisting program and past member of Geisinger Health Plan’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Service Guidelines committee. Ms. House is a member of the AOTA, the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association, is past committee chair of their Developmental Disabilities Special Interest Section, and is included in the 2006/2007 Manchester Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women.
