Cynthia Allen Coe, RHIA, is a registered health information administrator with more than 20 years of experience in medical record management, quality assurance, and interpreting state and national rules and regulations. She is a healthcare advisor with CMA Consulting providing training and services across all settings, specializing in the review and development of policy and procedures in health information management systems.
Ms. Coe has developed and directed health information data operating and classification systems, coordinated and overseen the operations of effective hospital-wide risk management programs, and led the implementation of Quality Assessment/Improvement (QI) plans, their monitoring, and the data analysis process. Her long-term experience gives her a working knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality laws, regulations, and guidelines and she has developed and implemented HIPAA privacy and security training in reference to protected health information (PHI).
Ms. Coe received her BS in Health Information Management from East Carolina University. She is a member of American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the NC Health Information Management Association Behavioral Health Section (NCHIMA).
