Daniel Carpenedo, MA, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech therapist with 25 years of clinical experience across long-term, acute care, homecare, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. He is a clinical specialist with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York where he has received the Lillian Wald President’s Initiative and ESPRIT Awards.
Mr. Carpenedo has developed and implemented continuous quality improvement programs resulting in improved patient care outcomes. His home health expertise includes training in post-stroke communication, cognitive impairments, and evidence-based stroke rehabilitation. Mr. Carpenedo is a telehealth expert who serves on the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Home Health Care Survey Technical Expert Panel and provides interactive audio/video treatments to homebound patients. He is an experienced program developer who has presented on such topics as Enhancing Patient Care with Telehealth Services in Home Care and Managing Urban Speech Therapy Caseloads Using Telehealth.
Mr. Carpenedo earned his MA in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University and his BS from Northern Michigan University. He is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Telemedicine Association.
