Debbie Thomas, OTR/L

Debbie Thomas, OTR/L, is a registered occupational therapist with over fifteen years of clinical experience performing assessments and establishing treatment plans across multiple settings including inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, and acute care. Having extensive experience treating neurological patients, she is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment and has completed advanced coursework on the topic. She has received specialized training in the treatment of individuals with neurological dysfunction and the application of NDT on patients with post-stroke hemiplegia, and has conducted multiple training sessions to various healthcare professionals to improve patient performance with self care and transfers with this population.

Ms. Thomas has been an adjunct instructor in the Occupational Therapy Program at Cleveland State University and in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Stark State College where she was awarded the 2010 Adjunct Excellence in Teaching Award.  She received her Post Bachelor Certificate in Occupational Therapy from Cleveland State and her BS from Ohio State University.
