Donna Jennings, MBA, CPHQ, is a hospital administrator, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Certified Professional in Utilization Review (CPUR) with broad professional experience in promoting safety and quality patient outcomes for healthcare providers across the country.
Ms. Jennings has served as assistant administrator and VP of Quality/Risk Management for several healthcare entities across the United States over the past 15 years, with responsibility for Joint Commission survey preparation and CMS Plans of Correction for facilities in New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Oregon. She has developed multiple educational modules for topics such as RAC Audits, Hospital Acquired Infections, Case Management, JC Survey Preparation, Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis, Core Measures, National Patient Safety Goals, Denial Management, Medical Staff Quality Profiling, Credentialing, BylawDevelopment and Peer Review. She currently serves as VP of Ancillary and Quality/Risk services for a large medical center, and also serves as the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Project Leader.
Ms. Jennings began her healthcare career as a respiratory therapist and after receiving her bachelor’s degree at Bluefield State College in West Virginia, she earned a master’s degree in business administration at Averett University in Danville, VA. She is a member of Virginia Association of Risk Managers (VASHRM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and she is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
