Eileen Bach, PT, M.Ed., DPT, is a licensed physical therapist, clinical manager, director of quality assurance, and educator with over 30 years of clinical experience. Her professional expertise includes rehab staff supervision, home health program development, multidisciplinary treatment and case management, quality assurance and standards of care innovation, and evidence-based competency training implementation.
Dr. Bach began her career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and currently works at VNSNY Home Care. Her clinical and research interests are centered in the areas of patient falls, especially assessment for falls risk and engagement of patient self-care management and non-pharmacological pain management interventions. She was an early champion of falls prevention programs and served as the co-investigator for a Langeloth Foundation grant investigating the role of family caregivers on falls risk reduction from 2005-2007. Dr. Bach has served as an adjunct lecturer for both the Columbia University and New York University Physical Therapy programs. She is actively engaged in physical therapy regulation and licensure, serving on the Board of Directors for the Federation of State Boards for Physical Therapy 1998-2003, Board of Directors for the Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy from 2003-2008 and currently continues as an extended member of the New York State Physical Therapy licensing board.
Dr. Bach received her physical therapy degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, her M.Ed. from Columbia University Teachers College and her DPT from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Gerontological Society of America.
