Erin B. Ball, MA, CCC-SLP, is a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of dementia and cognitive decline in the geriatric population. She received her certification of clinical competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is certified as a therapy provider by Vitalstim™ a system combining Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and traditional dysphagia techniques.
Ms. Ball is currently practicing in a long term care/skilled nursing facility and has practiced in hospital settings, home health care, outpatient programs, and a community re-entry program for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury. Her geriatric areas of proficiency include dementia, dysphagia, and balance disorders. Ms. Ball is licensed in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio by the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Boards. She is a therapeutic consultant for private practices, a frequent lecturer to professional groups including The Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter and family organizations and is an experienced program developer who has produced and presented training courses and seminars nationally.
Ms. Ball lectures on cognition and dementia and other neurological disorders and instructs advanced clinical practicums at Marshall University where she received both her BA and MA in communication disorders. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the I Believe Foundation, Inc. Ms. Ball is also the president and owner of Infinitrek Consulting, LLC.
