Gerard Mounic, OTD, OTR/L, C/NDT

Gerard Mounic, OTD, OTR/L, C/NDT, COS-C, is a licensed and registered occupational therapist with more than 12 years of clinical experience across multiple settings.

Dr. Mounic is certified in Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT), as well as a certified FIM and OASIS-C specialist; he has completed advanced vision and vestibular training and is a private Medicare part B provider. His experience in wheelchair seating and positioning spans multiple settings including acute, inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation and home care. His specialized training and experience includes home modifications for safety and functional needs, wheelchair seating and positioning, conducting functional rehabilitative treatment using wheelchairs, ergonomic evaluation, fall prevention, and stroke rehabilitation. Dr. Mounic’s service delivery approach promotes evidence-based critical thinking, is patient-centered, and incorporates patient, caregiver and home assessment factors. He is an experienced program developer and as a neurology clinical expert has presented nationally on such topics as ADLs and Home Care, Vision, Perception, and Cognition, Wheelchair Seating, Positioning and Postural Control, as well as participated in extensive clinical research on upper extremity robotics.

Dr. Mounic currently holds a clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
