Jay Berk, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and an internationally recognized specialist in the child/adolescent behavioral field. His office is a premier practice for work with children who have Asperger’s Syndrome and High Functioning Autism. His work includes practical application of techniques for change with this population in groups, families, classrooms and individual therapy settings. In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Berk works in school settings, consults with school staff on a regular basis regarding his clients, and conducts a variety of trainings every year for educational and mental health professionals.
In private practice, he conducts therapy with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults. His sub-specialties include clients with stress and anxiety, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Asperger’s and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Tourette’s Syndrome and the treatment of individuals who have multiple impairments.
Dr. Berk also works with children and adolescents with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, as well as their families. He has instructed on behavioral emergencies and has served as a member of, and trainer for, the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Team.
