John C. Gose PT, MS, OCS is the Director of Rehabilitation with The Chester County Hospital where he manages a staff of 75 and an $18 million budget. He is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a licensed physical therapist. As an active administrator and clinician he promotes evidence-based, multidisciplinary care and treatment teams in the management of injuries including orthopedics, sports, balance dysfunctions, and trauma of the extremities and spine.
Mr. Gose has worked with a variety of patient populations from the scholastic athlete, to industrial workers through active, aging adults across a variety of settings including inpatient acute care, home health, subacute, assisted living, and outpatient. He has developed a range of therapeutic programs including sports, industrial, vestibular, and aquatic rehab, and isokinetic testing. Mr. Gose has lectured as an adjunct faculty member for Widener University, Hahnemann University, Neumann College, guest lectured at the University of Delaware and presented nationally on orthopedics, sports and geriatric rehabilitation, the shoulder, the elbow, and the knee for over 20 years. He has published in the Physical Therapy Journal along with his research on Total Knee Arthroplasty and The Iliotibial Band and has been a guest lecturer for the American Society of Hand Therapy’s certification series.
Mr. Gose was a member of the original steering committee that developed the Musculoskeletal Practice Patterns for the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Practice Patterns Guidelines Manual and is a member of the APTA. He is a member of and has served as President and Vice-President of the Delaware state chapter of the APTA.
