Marnie Renda, MEd, OTR/L, CAPS, ECHM

Marnie Renda, MEd, OTR/L, CAPS, ECHM, is a registered occupational therapist, an Independent Living Specialist, and the founder of Destination Home LLC, which works with clients, contractors and architects to create livable spaces for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Ms. Renda earned an Executive Certificate in Home Modifications through the National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modifications at the University of Southern California (USC). She is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist performing assessments to homes for the aging-in-place and has more than 20 years of experience across Skilled Nursing Facilities, hospitals and health clinics. Ms. Renda is a proficient program developer who has produced and presented training courses and workshops at the national and state level on such topics as home modifications, Aging-in-Place, Universal Design, and Gerontechnology. She is an adjunct professor in occupational therapy at Xavier University and Cincinnati State Technical College. Ms. Renda earned her Master of Education in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College and her BA in Psychobiology from Lafayette College. She is a member of the American Occupation al Therapy Association.
