Philip Toal, PT, DPT, OCS, C-OMPT, is a certified orthopaedic specialist who currently works at the Medina Hospital outpatient rehab department. Dr. Toal is completing a fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy at the Institute of Therapeutic Sciences where he finished his orthopaedic residency and obtained a Certification in Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Toal specializes in low back/sacroiliac joint, neck, and shoulder pain and integrates therapeutic approaches with evidence-based practice to optimize patient outcomes. He is an adjunct faculty member in the Institute of Therapeutic Sciences Orthopaedic Residency Program where he teaches orthopaedic special tests and the incidence and prevalence of non-musculoskeletal regional pain. Dr. Toal is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor who has presented on topics including medical screening, evidence based practice, and cervical spine management and also assists in labs for medical screening and manual therapy at Cleveland State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Doctor of Physical Therapy program and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association – Orthopaedic Section and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
