Robert McCabe, MS, PT, OCS, is an APTA certified orthopedic specialist with fifteen years of clinical experience. Currently a Senior Physical Therapist at the NYU Center for Musculoskeletal Care. Previous to his current position, Bob worked at both the Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and the Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine. Mr. McCabe is licensed in the states of New York and Florida and has extensive experience in the clinical evaluation of and development of treatment modalities for orthopedic and sports injuries in recreational and professional athletes as well as the general public. He has coordinated pre-season strength and flexibility testing physical screenings for world-class athletes from the New York Rangers, New York Dragons and Miami Jai Alai teams.
Mr. McCabe has published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy as well as the North American Journal of Sports Physical Therapy. Mr. McCabe has presented sports medicine seminars and research studies at national conferences including the APTA annual Combined Sections meeting and state association meetings. He has served as a clinical educator for students at New York and Long Island Universities.
Mr. McCabe holds an MS in Physical Therapy from Long Island University and an MS in Biomechanics and Ergonomics from New York University where he is completing his Ph.D. in Biomechanics and Ergonomics. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and an active participant in its sports section.
