Home Health Care: OASIS C Manual Updated

CMS had posted the most recent version of the OASIS C manual for users. Title is “2011 OASIS C Manual”.

Also posted is the file “OASIS C Guidance Manual Errata 12-11″.

The item by item guidance for OASIS C items that was previously found in Chapter 3 is now found in each section of the guidance manual.

   Hi Cathy, your scenario is possible as CMS has not given a rigid interpretation of the 13 and 19 re-assessment visits when there are multiple therapies actively providing care just emphasizing the re-assessments are completed by the 13th or 19th visit.
   When only 1 therapist is actively visiting, then the re-assessment must be made on the 13th or 19th visit.

   A staffing company just told me that when only 2 therapy(PT and ST) where involved in a case. A reeval on the 10th visit by ST and 13th for PT was within the range for the reevals. Is this correct?
