Current evidence finds that the number of US adults who develop dementia each year is projected to increase from approximately 514,000 in 2020 to approximately 1 million in 2060. This trend highlights the importance of developing a transferable, yet modifiable template to confidently care for this growing patient population. Unfortunately, for many clinicians, treating patients with dementia can be a complexand often frustrating task, leading to therapeutic nihilism or otherwise doubting the benefit of therapy. This rise calls on all clinicians to be equipped with tools to confidently and boldly treat those with dementia at all stages and educate their caregivers.
