Summit works with numerous state boards and accrediting authorities nationwide to offer continuing education to PTs, OTs, and SLPs. In many states this includes the local chapters or sections of the board of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). FL PT/PTA's
PTs and PTAs in FL need 24 credits every 2 years. The license cycle ends November 30th on odd numbered years. 2 credits in preventing medical errors are required. 1 credit HIV/Aids required on first renewal.

FL OTs & OTAs
OTs and OTAs in FL need 26 credits every 2 years. The license cycle ends February 28th on odd numbered years. 2 credits of laws and rules and 2 credits of preventing medical errors required. 1 credit HIV/Aids required on first renewal.

FL SLPs
SLPs in FL need 30 credits every 2 years. 2 credits in preventing medical errors required. The license cycle ends December 31st on odd numbered years.

6 semester hours of college credit required for renewal.
