Iowa CE Courses

Summit Professional Education provides continuing education (CE) courses to PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Educators in the state of Iowa. Summit works with numerous state boards and accrediting authorities nationwide to offer continuing education to PTs, OTs, and SLPs. In many states this includes the local chapters or sections of the board of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). IA PT/PTA's

IA PTs need 40 credits and PTAs need 20 credits every 2 years. Child Abuse and Dependent Adult abuse Mandatory Reporter Trainings are required to be completed through the IA DHS. The license cycle ends biennially, the date varies.

IA OTs & OTAs

IA OTs need 30 credits and OTAs need 15 credits every 2 years. Child Abuse and Dependent Adult abuse Mandatory Reporter Trainings required to be completed through the IA DHS. The license cycle ends biennially, the date varies.

IA SLPs

SLPs in IA need 26 credits every two years. Child Abuse and Dependent Adult abuse Mandatory Reporter Trainings required to be completed through the IA DHS. The license cycle ends on December 31st every odd year.
