These many functions include motor control, coordination, rhythmic movement, executive functionskills, attention, and modulation of sensory input. Cerebellar dysfunction has been found to be associated with ADHD, autism, Parkinson’s disease, and other disorders.Using this new research, therapists can facilitate activation of this very important brain structure through rhythm, balance, and coordination activities. As your understanding of the importance of this structure develops, you will be able to incorporate these activities into your treatment sessions.
