No longer just an issue for the elite athlete, medications and supplements are now specifically designed and marketed to the young and old with promises of improving performance.Whether it improves joint nutrition in an elderly patient, or improving muscle strength in an athlete, we are inundated with choices when it comes to over the counter and prescription medications. But do they really work? This course serves to examine the evidence behind popular performance enhancers, helping the clinician understand the product claims and gain awareness of potential side effects that could impact rehab outcomes.

instructor open stated it was a overview type course but i feel the section on hormone treatments and particularly birth control should be given more attention given their impact.
