Articulation Therapy: A Focus on the Cycles Approach
Price:$99.99
The cycles approach to speech/articulation therapy is intended for students who are highly unintelligible when they are communicating with others. These students frequently omit speech sounds, replace some sounds with other sounds, and/or do not use many consonant sounds. In the cycles approach, the speech-language pathologist will provide intervention to correct phonological processes, or error patterns in the student's speech. This approach to speech therapy targets each error pattern for a short amount of time before cycling through other phonological processes. Intervention continues for each phonological process until it is eliminated from the student's conversational speech.Through this course, you will learn more about the purpose of the cycles approach, when to use it, how to choose which processes to target, how to set up the therapy cycles, and how to run each therapy session.

no, i think the presenter was particularly interesting when providing the therapy history. she gave a clear presentation and noted how, as time and approaches evolved, one built upon the one(s) before it. that was interesting to me --- but hard to sit through. i was getting bored.
