Visual deficits often get masked as cognitive deficits where poor academic performance is blamed on lack of motivation and attention. This course highlights the case study of a high schooler with visual deficits as she handlesher academic demands in high school. The course teaches clinical observations, visual screenings, evaluation, and treatment interventions that can be implemented not only in the outpatient therapy setting but also within the classroom. The attendee will be able to address these visual deficits and add tools to improve academic engagement and self-confidence.

all additional information that was referenced in the video was placed into the general manual of the course. either these documents need to be placed into a different file or have a link within the general manual that will locate the information quickly.

physical therapist can collaborate with ot's and do vision screenings as well in the school setting, instructor could have made a few comments about that.

the presenter provided a lot of information that was not on the slides or provided a lot of information on one slide. i had difficulty taking in all of the information. this course should have been three hours, so that she could break down some of the information more clearly with the beginning "review" broken down into slides and other slides being broken down into separate slides.
