Can you improve a student's self-esteem by addressing their handwriting skills? The Solving the Handwriting Puzzleprogram was created for 2 main reasons. The first reason wasto create a handwriting program that was linear and has easy to follow steps to teach and correct handwriting. The secondreason was to help build students' self-esteem as hand writers and avoid "emotional walls". These "emotional walls" limit the students' ability to improve their handwriting due to their poor self-image. This program uses positive language and empowers the student to feel better about their handwriting while at the same time improving handwriting quality. In addition, this program follows AOTA best practices guidelines of creating a system for students to self-evaluate their handwriting skills. Make powerful changes to how you teach handwriting with this information packed course.

many of the samples are too hard to see\/read in the manual. i could make out what the instructor was addressing on the slide on the computer, but i am going to have trouble going make and reviewing the information without having the video up and running. wish i had found this course while i was still working in the schools.

i have noticed huge improvement in kids writing once they focused on line placement, sizing and spacing. i do not usually spread it out in that order and will try that. i like the student assessing component.
