Pediatric Teletherapy

Telehealth is a viable option for therapeutic intervention. In this presentation participants will learn what pediatric telehealth entails including standards of practice recommended by AOTA and APTA associations. Teletherapy evidence will be discussed in relation to efficacy for implementation. Participants will learn the `How To's' of teleintervention from start to finish, including what technology and equipment is needed. This presentation will focus on practical application of therapy services and brain storm challenges that may occur, including how to deal with difficult behaviors when you are not there in person, and how to be creative with treatment activities when you don't have a "therapy bag".
