Pediatric Sleep Dysfunction
Price:$99.99
Good sleep is the foundation of health, development, and success for all of us. Research tells us that children with sleep issues struggle with self-regulation, learning, social skills and are more likely to be obese. The power of sleep has been neglected as an important part of one's overall well- being. Sleep problems are very common in children. Up to 80% of children with neurodevelopment disorders have impaired sleep. The absolute necessity of good quality sleepfor a child's well-being and development is often overlooked. Clinicians with the ability to identify sleep issues will be able to support children and families with education, strategies, and referrals to specialists when needed.
The content of this program is germane to children, students and clients ages 0- 18.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists

i question some of the data on sleep training based on what we know currently. i do not believe sleep training or "cry it out" methods are appropriate or nurturing for young children who still require help from their parents to regulate.

i just loved everything about this. the practical resources and ideas that were provided were amazing, because it gives me places to go to increase my learning, but also share with parents. there isn't enough pd about sleep, and as an early interventionist i get asked about it all the time.
