this course was very heavy with sensory interventions. that being said, the presenter was an slp. i think it would be very helpful to have an ot also present with her since this is an ot's scope of practice. several sensory interventions listed concerned me. a child should be provided a sensory assessment\/evaluation before attempting interventions with them to promote best practice. some interventions (weighted blankets) listed could have contraindications and many are not evidence-based (i.e. brushing). this was not communicated in this course.
