Visual Skills and Learning in School-Age Children

Studies show that 80% of classroom learning is visual. The visual system is comprised of multiple areas of brain processing. If any one of these areas is deficient, it can have a cascade effect on a child's ability to perform at his or her highest level of ability in school. Participants in this course will gain insight into identifying and assessing deficits in visual motor integration, visual perceptual skills, and ocular motor skills. This presentation will provide a list of fun and engagingtherapeutic activities to facilitate development of visual skillsin children, as well as visual classroom modifications.
