We will also discuss the diseases in detail, their risk factors, and the environmental and biological factors that have led to the current epidemic of obesity, diabetes and cardiovasculardisease. Finally, the solutions - and more importantly the process for finding solutions- is the subject of the last section. No one approach by itself can ever be the answer, however through this course, we will explore diet and exercise in part as possible treatment approaches as well as how to educate patients, clients, and communities in prevention.

i did not know that this course would be a plant-based propaganda presentation. that was the majority of the content. i rarely discuss nutrition with my patients, as i am in an inpatient setting, but i certainly wouldn't advocate for a diet that has been widely lambasted by health and nutrition professionals. the preponderance of evidence shows a whole-food omnivore diet is superior in micronutrients and macronutrients. to say otherwise is either purposely misleading or ill-informed.
