Additional Information

Healthcare reform is rapidly changing the landscape of reimbursement moving towards a value-based payment system. In the last two fiscal years, Medicare has cut an estimated $1.7 Billion in reimbursements, making clear and concise documentation critical to payment. Clinicians who can create defensible, value-based documentation will optimize reimbursement and justify their role. Those that cannot are a liability and will be left out as the fiscal belt tightens.

Rethinking Value in Therapeutic Documentation is a one-day course designed to reshape the understanding ofcreating defensible documentation that demonstrates value. This course will connect subjective and objective data to selected interventions and provide the tools to demonstrate value. Participants will be better able to set realistic goals, identify effective interventions, and modify treatment plansbased upon the interpretation of assessment data. By improving the clinician's understanding of value documentation, patients are protected from premature discharge and ineffective treatments; therapists experience less stress related to the documentation process; and reimbursement for services provided will be maximized.
