Home Health 101
Mar 21, 2026 (10:00 AM to 1:15 PM US/Eastern)
Price:$139.99
Home health care is an exciting area of practice for all therapy disciplines. However, agency needs, often dictated by financial considerations, often push clinical staff into the field without adequate preparation. Clinical staff also havemonetary concerns that may encourage them to move into direct patient care without proper training and mentoring. Important items such as interdisciplinary collaboration, infection control, and medication management may receive discussion through a policy manual review. Accurate OASIS documentation may not even receive a mention.
This workshop will provide a high-level overview of patient care in the home, preparing the therapist and assistant for entry into home health care. Through casestudies and examples, participants will develop strategies to apply and integrate the 15 CMS conditions of participation into daily patient care. Upon entry into home health (or return to practice), clinicians will be prepared for safe and compliant work in home health.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists
