This course will review the clinical risks from a variety of common drug classes, with their potential effects on therapeutic outcomes. Examples will be shared of the different types of drug interactions, as well as examples ofpotentially inappropriate medications for older people basedon the physiologic changes with aging that may impact clients' pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Charts and examples will include drug-induced declines in cognitionand in motor-coordination.
