In the US there are 1.2 million people diagnosed with Parkinson's and that number is growing exponentially. This is a diagnosis that is progressive and since every person with Parkinson's presents differently, it can be very challenging to manage as a therapy team. With increasing restrictions on the amount of therapy these individuals can access, it is even more important to make each session count. In thiscourse, we explore how to empower you and your patients to remove the challenging barriers to optimizing motor control and learning for enhanced outcomes and quality of life for people with Parkinson's. This course will provide you with practical strategies toaddress key barriers to optimizing motor control and new learning for many people with Parkinson's. Participants willlearn about medications and non-motor symptoms that get in the way of progress as well as management techniques tooptimize movement. We will utilize case studies, videos, andpicture examples to optimize learning. When you return to your practice you will be able to implement treatment techniques that will prepare and promote new learning, enhance motor control, maximize therapy outcomes, and diminish your burnout with this challenging population.

the only thing that was disappointing is that she was not able to get her videos to play. she was able to work around this %26 effectively describe them so you could still envision the video.

relevant information. i dont work full time so it was great to have a medication and side effects review of how freq. meds used with parkinsons affects them regularly and what we may see in the cliinic.
