Venous leg ulcers present painful problems for patients and challenges to health care providers who treat them. One study showed 10%-35% of the population has a type of venous disease and 1%-22% of individuals over 60 have lower extremity skin ulcers (Sieggreen).

the instructor was amazing. i did not realize that this course was going to be so wound care based. i do not treat a wound care population, which is why i picked neutral for many questions.

i liked the assessment portion of the course. i don't necessarily see these patients on a regular basis, but i do see patients on occasion with these issues. i now recognize signs and symptoms, as well as patient history and possible causes.
