Rehabilitation Considerations for Comprehensive Breast Cancer Care
Price:$99.99
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, with about 1 in 8 women developing invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetimes (Breastcancer.org, 2020). Deaths from breast cancer remain the second leading cause of cancer death among women overall (Centers for Disease Control, 2020). About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer and as of January 2020, there are more than 3.5 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. (Breastcancer.org, 2020). As a result, more rehabilitation professionals are seeing clients with comorbidities stemmingfrom medical interventions for breast cancer. Rehabilitationservices are vital throughout the treatment trajectory to provide prevention of co-morbidities as well as treatment ofside effects. We are charged with providing these individuals with safe and effective, client-driven treatment techniques to restore and improve quality of life.
