This course focuses on recognizing child abuse and the procedures mandated reporters must follow if they encounter it. Participants will examine common indicators of child abuse that are both physical and mental. The course will also address substance-affected infants and provide information on when and how to report should child abuse be encountered in a healthcare setting.
