Price:$99.99
The COVID-19 virus has presented a unique challenge to the healthcare industry that has tasked resources, personneland almost every facet of our professional and personal lives. The response to this global pandemic has presented a multitude of challenges for healthcare professionals, including understanding the unique pathology of the virus, appropriatemedical intervention, suitable pharmacological response and emerging best practices for mobility and therapy. While the clinical presentation of patients with COVID-19 has similarities to other respiratory issues, the immediate treatment and recovery process are unique. Additionally, there is no firm understanding of long-term recovery or residual effects of the COVID-19 virus. Even though the healthcare industry hasmany questions on how to establish long-term, best practice guidelines there is support in existing evidence that provides guidance on appropriate early mobility and therapyintervention.
The objective of this course is to help improve the understanding of the individual clinician on the COVID-19 virus, implementation, and delivery of appropriate physical interventions to help drive the most optimal patient outcomes. Following the completion of this course the participant will be able to identify key components of COVID-19 pathophysiology, understand key components for successful mobility progression of a patient with COVID-19 and define the important role of multidisciplinary communication and collaboration.
