Dizziness and balance disorders are frequent conditions encountered in rehabilitation. Research shows that over 50% of older adults are affected by dizziness/balance disorders.Younger populations may also be affected by dizziness/balance impairments specifically with concussions and orthopedic dysfunction. The recognition of how multiple factors may contribute to dizziness/balance issues is an evolving body of knowledge. This course will provide a diverse range of information to the practicing clinician to better understand how to identify and treat common sources of dizziness and balance impairment.

This course will improve the knowledge of rehabilitation management of the dizzy/ imbalanced patient. Topics covered will be differential diagnosis, evidence-based testing, and optimal exercise selection/progression strategies to facilitate the effective management of these patients. At the conclusion of the course, the clinician will obtain clinically applicable strategies to manage a broad spectrum of patientspresenting with dizziness/balance deficits.
