Examining the intricate relationship between pelvis position and hip function during each phase of gait is crucial in effective hip rehabilitation. The dynamic nature of the pelvis during gait alters the orientation of the hip socket, consequently influencing the function of surrounding musculature. Traditional hip exercises often overlook this crucial aspect, leading to inadequate addressing of gait mechanics and hip dysfunction.
This course will address pelvis position and femoral motion across various gait phases. Participants will learn pelvis and hip assessments to inform tailored exercise prescriptions for addressing hip pathology and optimizing function. Exercise variations and modifications will beprovided for both frail and fit patients, alongside troubleshooting tips for adjustments when exercises yield unexpected outcomes. By the end of the course, attendees will be equipped with practical strategies to integrate pelvis and femur dynamics into hip rehabilitation programs, resulting in improved gait mechanics and enhanced hip function for their patients.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers

the instructor is incredibly knowledgeable and seems to be tremendous clinician. but as an instructor, she spoke very very fast using lots of words to communicate an idea. it was very difficult to process what she was saying and demonstrating in real time. i was completely lost by the end of the course. :(

i was extremely happy with the amount of content\/material, however the presenter skipped over and\/or did not elaborate on a majority of the content. the best part of the presentation was towards the end where she had a volunteer and the techniques were being performed, however this was often opposite orientation of the slide example and in my opinion, was difficult to mentally flip the examples to understand which leg was stance and which was swing. also, at this point, the presenter was running short on time and did not get to spend much time with q%26a or details. during the standing exercise example using the step, she actually said "there's a reason but i'm not going to go into it". i most likely will not use that exercise because i cannot explain the rationale to my patient. overall, great material, however i feel it was a very chopping and incomplete execution of the teaching component. there are a lot of slides i have to go back and review.
