Fractures and Dislocations of the Hand and Wrist
Price:$99.99
Hand and wrist injuries can have a devastating impact on patients' functional abilities. Rehab professionals who successfully manage these injuries can help maximize patients' functional abilities to improve patient outcomes. This course will guide you to a thorough understanding of how to evaluate and treat adult patients who have been diagnosed with fractures or dislocations of bones in the wrist (carpus) or hand. (Please note that this course does not cover distal radius fractures.) We will review relevant anatomy and physiology, examine more than 25 fracture and dislocation types in detail, and look at commonly occurring complications. We will also discuss conservative treatment options, surgical intervention, patient evaluation principles, rehabilitation after injury, and long-term prognosis. Case studies and clinical tips will help enhance your learning, and effective, evidence-based evaluation and intervention techniques can be applied immediately in the clinic. This course will boost your confidence in treating patients with these difficult injuries.
