Additional Information

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders remain among the leading causes of lost workdays in healthcare, with over 50%of therapists reporting injuries linked to poor ergonomics. Caseload growth, high patient volumes, and poorly designed workstations compound these risks, creating fatigue and long-term dysfunction for clinicians. Despite these challenges, structured ergonomic education is rarely emphasized in PT and OT training programs. A dedicated course is needed to provide clinicians with evidence-based, therapist-driven ergonomic interventions that reduce risk, improve workflow efficiency, and extend career longevity.

This course bridges theory and practice by equippingclinicians with practical ergonomic tools and strategies forimmediate use in patient care and staff workflows. Through interactive labs, case-based redesign simulations, and clinical reflection, participants will analyze high-risk tasks, practice ergonomic modifications, and integrate solutions into treatment and workplace planning. Attendees will leave with confidence to apply ergonomic redesign principles, enhance participation in ADLs and work activities, and advocate for sustainable workplace wellness in healthcare environments.
