Additional Information

Headaches and cervicogenic vertigo/neck pain are among the most common compounding symptoms experienced in Temporomandibular Disorder (TMJ) sufferers. The latest research supports findings that there is a close relationship between headaches and TMD. This course will expand your exercise and manual practice toolbox to include cervical dizziness, TMD, and promote resources for a large subset of the population affected by postural and cervical headaches. Techniques, differential diagnosis, andreplication of symptoms will allow an adequate and effectiveplan of care to foster results and positive outcomes inpatients affected by a complex pathology. Clinicians will beable to rule in and rule out various referrals of symptoms whether it is postural, cervicogenic or derived from the jaw, as well as avenues to give patients relief of certain subtypes of headache without the use of medication.

difficult platform for sure for tmj. but dry needling isn't something that most pt's have as part of their common skill set, too much time spent on this. would have like to have seen graston actually applied to the jaw area or neck, not someone's forearm%3f%3f how is that helpful%3f the video on jaw mobilization was not all that helpful. no great explanations of exactly what he was doing or why he would have chosen to do mobilization - what was in his exam that made him feel this was appropriate. he talked about doing a thorough exam, but did not reveal common indicators for when this would be helpful. further explanation of his directional forces as he was doing it would have been more helpful. too much time spent on cervicogenic dizziness and not enough regarding tmj. further my knowledge re tmj and treating is what i am trying to do. this course was not so helpful w\/ re to that.
