Additional Information

With the increased activity level of our adult and athletic population, combined with the upcoming changes toward outcomes-based reimbursement, there is a definite need for therapists and other health care practitioners to more effectively manage and treat patients with orthopedic conditions. Evidence-based evaluation methods, precise clinical reasoning, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic and neuromuscular exercises, function to not only efficiently reach a successful outcome, but to also prevent the development of future impairments and injury.

This iterative course will teach tools and decision-making skills that utilize the latest research which can be immediately implemented to improve a patient's recovery and overalloutcome. Hands-on skills to address mobility and movement coordination deficits will also be addressed to match the patient's stage of recovery. With the newfound thought process and clinical reasoning, participants will find that patients respond to treatment more quickly and reach higher levels of functional performance.
