Evidence-Based Strength and Conditioning Applications for Pregnant and Postpartum Clients
Price:$99.99
It is known that many women begin an exercise program during pregnancy and/or during the postpartum period. Many of these women also have a lack of knowledge on proper guidelines and precautions to safely begin or resume an effective program without ensuing complications or injuries. This course is designed to cover exercise prescription alongwith proper modifications for those with complications and how a physical therapist can create a safe exercise program to improve compliance. As therapists, we can build the bridge from treatments and interventions to a solid long-lasting exercise program to prevent further functional deficits.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers

this course did a good job of going over the many benefits of exercise and the systems that change when pregnant. but i would havr liked more details on exercise rx and various modifications that should be made (more than just elevated planks\/push ups etc). it also would have been nice to go over more common ailments we may see pregnant patients for beyond lbp and dr. there was also some very good info relayed in the q%26 a that would have been nice to have included in the slides. i did appreciate the more up to date info on lifting\/strength training and benefits of this type of exercise. the postpartum md site that was frequently referenced does not recommend lifting weights which is out of date thinking and inconsistent with the messages in the presentation though.

sometimes it just felt like she read the slides which is a waste of time when she talks slower than i read. she could have filled that time with more information. but overall happy with the course!

instructor talked slow enough so you didn't miss anything in a calm tone. her auditory was without echo the best so far. visuals were simple enough to follow and understand. high expertise in course material without being so difficult you couldn't follow like some other courses. the best teacher thus far. good teacher skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
