Additional Information

The prevalence of shoulder pain in the general population is estimated as being between 15 and 20%. It is the second most common reason for individuals withmusculoskeletal dysfunction to seek treatment from general medical practitioners. Clinicians are faced with the challenge of performing a timely comprehensive examination that provides the necessary information for the development of a clear plan of care for patients and clients. Once the examination is complete, clinicians must choose the best evidence based interventions that can be performed based on his or her psychomotor skill and the patient/client's preference.

This course will assist clinicians with prioritizingexamination tests and measures by presenting recent diagnosis related research for the shoulder complex. Participants will improve their clinical reasoning through study of case examples of patients with varying levels of functionality due to shoulder impingement. Manual therapy techniques will be presented through both live demonstrationand clear, concise illustrated hand-out materials. Clinicians with all levels of experiences and expertise will be able toeffectively manage patients with dysfunction due to shoulderimpingement using a hands-on manual therapy approach.

i wish there had been more time learning manual treatment interventions. for this being the title of the course there were very few techniques taught and were all rushed at the end of the course. great instruction otherwise!

the focus on the instructor but not the slides he was referrencing robbed the online participant of a lot of key information that we had to rely solely on what was said. the use of the anatomical models was great, but the only useful visual for learning.

would have liked to see more shoulder joint mobilizations included. it was a great course but being a manual therapy course for shoulder, i felt there was less content on this. would also like to see techniques of median nerve glides, sternocleidomastoid and trapezius deep tissue massage

more explanation of special tests and exactly what your are looking for. u understand it can't encompass all scenarios but felt some things could have been explained more thoroughly

course was great, i'll definitely be using what i learned this week. only thing is, i would edit out his audio in a couple spots. nothing major but you can hear him get angry at someone under his breath at one point and later you hear him getting stressed over the time. i'm sure yall recorded it live so, no big deal. i'm just a video editor so it bothered me when heard it. video was great all in all, just my "inner editor" wanted to edit some stuff out. lol!

his description of eliminating unnecessary tests, was helpful. any way to keep things more simple only improves effective time with the patient. videos and pictures were hard to see and i would have liked a closer view.

the video ended abruptly during the self-care\/hep section. the last slide on %2377 was not reviewed
