Our bodies were designed for movement and healthy movement requires a harmonious balance of mobility, stability and strength. In general, there is a focus on strength and mobility in the rehabilitation and fitness realms but what happens when these two don't complement each other and stability is nowhere to be found? This course will address multiple patient populations and specific injuries that willimmediately benefit from understanding the triad of treatment, including decreased fall risk, gait safety, transfers, and injuryprevention.
Throughout this interactive, lab-based workshop, attendees will learn the concepts of mobility, stability andstrength and how to create effective home exerciseprograms. Active participation, discussion and case-study examples will empower attendees with simple and effective treatment options that can be applied to any patient the next day.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers
