Neuroplasticity and TBI

Following brain injury, the recovering patient requires dynamic and ongoing assessment and treatment to facilitate maximal recovery. Neuroplasticity, the ability to form new connections or reorganize existing connections, is a critical process in healing that takes the expertise of a skilled rehabilitation therapist to nurture. Dual tasking, whenconsidered carefully and implemented appropriately, can be apowerful method of stimulating neuroplasticity and maximize functional improvement.
