Co-morbidities such as low back pain and incontinence are prevalent with this condition making it necessary for PT/OT and Athletic Trainers alike to have a thorough comprehension of the dysfunction.
In this course, attendees will learn the anatomy and physiology associated with diastasis recti as well as the associated symptoms of dysfunction. The course will also cover other diagnoses that should prompt a diastasis recti evaluation with evidence-based techniques used in assessing the condition. Participants will learn treatment techniques that can be used right away in the clinic toimprove core stability and reduce the impact of diastasis recti on functional skills for athletics, leisure, work, and ADLs.
