The plantarflexors are an important muscle group to understand for rehabilitation professionals. Dysfunction of this muscle group has been researched and shown to contribute to foot pain, ankle instability, ankle arthritis, knee pain and lower back pain. This course will review the functionalanatomy of the plantarflexors and how it relates to human movement. The course will also delve into the potentialclinical presentations of dysfunction of this muscle group and treatment options to manage it.

i really like how the author ties in anatomy with biomechanics leading to dysfunction and treatment. it gives a good rationale for why we do what we do and to explain to patient.
