Summit works with numerous state boards and accrediting authorities nationwide to offer continuing education to PTs, OTs, and SLPs. In many states this includes the local chapters or sections of the board of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). SD PT/PTA's
SD PTs need 15 credits every year. The license cycle ends January 1st.
CE Recap:
15 credits every year, 100% allowed online.
SD OTs & OTAs
OTs and OTAs in SD need 12 credits every year. The license cycle ends January 1st.
CE Recap:
12 Credits every year, 100% allowed online
SD SLPs
SLPs in SD need 20 credits every two years. The license cycle ends on 10/1 of the 2nd licensure year.
CE Recap:
20 Credits every 2 years, 100% allowed online
SD Educators
Educators in SD need 45 or 90 credits every 5 years, depending on highest degree completed. The license cycle ends on July 1st.
CE Recap:
45 or 90 Credits every 5 years, 100% allowed online
