Ada Baklouti, CIC, is a licensed professional in Infection Control and Prevention with a CIC© designation. Ms. Baklouti completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland, College Park. She progressed on to complete a master's degree in public health, with a specific focus in Epidemiology and Community Health Planning. Following this, she began work Immunology performing donor crossmatching and antibody study for solid organ transplant. She soon transitioned into the role of Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory Technologist, performing genotyping of infectious viral pathogens, such as HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. After transitioning out of the laboratory setting, she assumed an Infection Preventionist role in acute care hospitals and outpatient settings to reduce the incidence of Healthcare Associated Infections among patients and healthcare workers. She has worked as an Infection Preventionist for over decade and currently sits as the Director of Infection Prevention for a community hospital in Maryland.

Ms. Baklouti's clinical experience or specialized training includes Pathogenic Infectious Disease, Surgery Center Infection Prevention, Infection Control during Construction, Risk Mitigation for Device Associated Infections, and CDIFF Infection Prevention. Ada regularly develops education material for clinicians across Infection Prevention themes, including isolation precautions, personal protective equipment and risk mitigation for healthcare associated infections. Ms. Baklouti's memberships include National Association for Professional in Infection Control (CIC).
