Dr. Angela Bethea-Walsh, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist located in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University. She completed a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health and Addictions Psychology at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has owned a private practice (Bethea Consulting & Psychological Services, P.C.) for over ten years. She specializes in the intersection of clinical health and addiction psychology within a cultural and social justice context. She enjoys providing support and individual and group clinical intervention for prenatal and perinatal mothers and women in perimenopause. She delivers psychological screening and consultation for individuals seeking medically assisted and third-party reproduction. She also enjoys providing support to healthcare providers using the clinical method of Motivational Interviewing to engender more productive conversations about health behavior motivation and change with their patients seeking fertility treatment. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the APA Minority Fellowship Program. She is also a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM)/Mental Health Providers Professional Group (MHPG), and a Fellow of the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA). She previously served as the Co-Chair for the MHPG Task Force on Inclusion and Anti-Racism.
